ADICCTION- READ READ READ READ READ *

so... im an 8th grader here at marshall middle school and i just wanted to talk a little about addiction, and the struggles and pain of it. Addiction is just a heavy burden laid up our shoulders, and all it does is (maybe satisfy, but only for a little bit), It takes away your happiness, love, steals your $ (depending on age) and affects you personal development.

Drugs arent the only thing u can be addicted to, theres also things like food, the internet, drinking, etc. All these addictions can affect u in different ways, but they can all ruin your life as well. The first step to overcoming your addiction is by realizing/recognizing that you are an addict. Then, you need to work towards convincing yourself to get away from your addiction.

Write down pros and cons, and how it is affecting you now, and how it will affect you when i quit it. The next step is to realize who is the bad influence and get rid of them, and kick them out of your life!! It is said to take 14 days to get rid of a habit. Get involved with sports, and activities to get you away from bad things. To overcome your addiction, you need to have the patience of a SAINT because your not going to get over it in a short ammount of time. But stay with it and, NEVER, EVER give up!!!!! :D

I was addicted to over the counter drugs and i had to go to treatment to get me off of the addiction. I realized that no one was going to get rid of my addiction for me, and i had to do it myself. im a very strong girl, inside and out, and this took a lot of strength to get me through the addiction and past everything. i sought out christ through my addiction and he (& I) have made me who i am today. So........ stay positive, go to church, and LOVE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
