Venn Diagrams are used for comparing & contrasting topics in a visual way. In this case, you will be comparing and contrasting the great ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica: the Maya, Aztec and Inca. Each circle represents information about one of the civilizations. Any information written in the overlapping parts (the intersections) shares that with the other civilization. Make sense? If not, look up a better explanation online.

THIS IS DUE THURSDAY by 11:59 PM.

First of all I want to apologize if this is confusing... just do your best to try to figure it out.

Step 1: Look at the document titled "Influential Hispanics & Latinos". I posted it in the stream. Choose the top 3 people you'd like to learn more about. You can view it now but at 1pm you will be able to type into it. It's first come first at 1pm. You will type your name next to the person. *Write down (for you to remember) who you choose.

Step 2: Make a copy of either slide 2 or 3 (based on gender). The copy will go into your Google Drive.

Step 3: Once in the copy, click to share. If your are working with a partner type in their full name so you can work on it together. Also, share it with me (mtaylor42@sandi.net). If working alone, just share it with me.

Step 4: Fill in each area with information you find.

Example:

Submitting HAND WRITTEN Work Tutorial

In Spanish class, I am going to ask that your HAND WRITE a lot of your work. In order to grade it, you will need submit it. There are different ways you can do it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 covers the steps in submitting work using the built in Chromebook camera.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 covers how to submit work using the Google Classroom app. on your phone. You'll need to download the app first.
(This is probably the easiest option.) Note: This video uses an iPad, but the process on a cellphone is similar.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 covers the basic idea of using your phone and free pdf scan apps to submit work. (The app in the video is called Tap Scanner.)

Again, your homework is to check out each Video and play around to decide which one is best for you.
Then, answer the question posted: "Which one are YOU going to use?

4) Lastly, study the Quizet flashcards. There is audio, too! Open the flashcards from the main page, then click on the audio icon.

Las vocales (vowels in Spanish)

1) Watch the video, "Los vocales", that explains the lesson on vowels.
2) Open the pdf, "w2_5_vocales_0", to page 1 and find the lyrics to the song.
3) Open the link, "Spanish vowels song", and play the song. Refer back to the lyrics on page 1 of the pdf.
4) Complete pages 2-9 of the pdf. WRITE the answers in your NOTEBOOK, but make sure to write the whole word, not just random individual letters; No need to draw pictures or color them. For page 10, just try to read and translate what they are saying. (Use the vocabulary from page 11 to help with page 10.) *You do NOT need to write anything down for page 10-11.
5) Lastly, review the vowels by studying the "Los vocales en español" flashcards we looked at in class today (Wed., 9/9).
