Good Evening 6th Grade Parents,

We hope everyone is settliGng in now that class schedules have been accessible on Powerschool. We know some of you may be having challenges logging on and navigating our online portal but, please know that we’ll be sure to get to everyone who has reached out for support. Here are some updates that might help you and your student get established before Monday:

  • If you missed the 6th Grade Orientation, you can watch this recording of it.
  • For any technical questions or issues including: Wifi connectivity, broken or damaged devices, to retrieve a student log-in and password, or any other technical issue, parents  can contact the Family Technology Support Line (619-732-1400) . Flyer
  • Next week will be the “Welcome Week” where all students will be checking in with their Period 1-3 teachers and working independently on their Welcome Week Portfolio. The schedule for next week is modified, so be sure to check here to see the schedule.
  • If you have not picked up your textbook or chromebook, we will have a make up date on Tues, 9/1 from 8am-3pm. Students will be working on their Welcome Week Portfolio next week and in most cases will not begin working out of their class textbooks, so there is time to make sure students have all of the necessary supplies.
  • Yearbook needs your help with “First Day of School” photos. The 2020/21 school year is certainly one for the record books and our Yearbook wants to try to capture this experience. If you have any great pictures of your students working from home or other photos that capture Online Learning, please submit to Jostens our Yearbook provider. You can find out how by clicking on this flyer.

We wish you the best as we transition to the new school year. Thank you for all of your patience and flexibility during this time.
