Hi, welcome to my teacher site. Here are some facts about me. I was born and raised here, in San Diego. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Nutritional Studies from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Education. I am a father and husband. My favorite activities are playing with my children, camping, athletics including softball, beach volleyball, surfing, and basketball. In the past I have coached high school basketball, volleyball and football. My teaching career started at Torrey Pines High School and Earl Warren Middle School in Del Mar where I taught physical education and coached football. Prior to teaching I was a volleyball coach at Point Loma High School and coached basketball and football at La Jolla Country Day. I also spent 5 years coaching football at The Bishop's School. Coaching has always been a passion of mine. Prior to teaching at Marshall Middle School I taught kindergarten through 6th grade physical education in the San Diego Unified School District at Balboa Elementary and Emerson-Bandini Elementary in Logan Heights. I have a goal to teach the students in my classes that exercise is fun. I hope that all of my students will learn the benefits of exercise as related to self-esteem, happiness and quality of daily life.
