Pilar Martinez graduated from Mira Mesa High School in 1995. She went on to San Diego State University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1999. Pilar graduated with a Master's degree in reading instruction in 2015. She currently enjoys teaching English.
Miss Martinez's likes: math, things that are nerdy, pineapple, Harry Potter, Batman, candy, Disneyland, "The Office", students who are happy to be in class, books, zombies, things that scare her, Mexico, wintergreen flavoring, Spanish, "Ghost Hunters", "30 Rock", "Parks and Rec", people who return her classroom library books, and Halloween.
